Below are some highlights of just a few of the many advanced program components we provide. Contact your CFDS representative for additional information.
Screening Options
- Criminal Background Checks (including predatory offenses)
- MVR (Motor Vehicle Report) Request
- Social security verification
- PSP Reports
Criminal Background Checks
- We have access to multiple national and state databases, including county court records. All of our information searches meet or exceed Fair Credit Report Act (FCRA) standards for employment service records.
Social Security Verification
- Making sure names and SSNs on the W-2 match is important because unmatched records can result in additional processing costs for you and unaccredited earnings for your employees
PSP (Pre-Employment Screening Program) Reports
- The Pre-Employment Screening Program (PSP) is a screening tool that allows motor carriers and individual drivers to purchase driving records from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA) Motor Carrier Management Information System (MCMIS).
- Making safety performance information electronically available for pre-employment screening purposes was mandated by Congress in the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act. FMCSA believes that making this driver data available to potential employers and operator-applicants will improve the quality of safety data and help employers make more informed decisions when hiring commercial drivers. PSP provides more rapid access to commercial driver safety performance information than is available via Freedom of Information Act or Privacy Act requests.
